Modified GRF (1-29) is a synthetic analog of Growth Hormone-Releasing Hormone (GHRH) identical to the first 29 amino acids of native GHRH but with four amino acid substitutions to enhance stability and resistance to enzymatic degradation. With a molecular weight of 3367.95 g/mol, it binds to GHRH receptors on pituitary somatotroph cells to stimulate natural, pulsatile GH release, elevating GH secretion by 70-107% and IGF-1 levels by approximately 28% over 12 hours. This anabolic potential is associated with increased lean muscle mass and skin thickness, and research suggests GHRH analogs may have cardioprotective properties by promoting cell survival pathways and opposing cardiac hypertrophy, as well as binding to VIP receptors to support bowel motility.
