CJC-1295 DAC is a synthetic analog of Growth Hormone-Releasing Hormone (GHRH) engineered with four amino acid substitutions and a Drug Affinity Complex (DAC) to bind to plasma proteins like albumin, extending its half-life to approximately eight days. With a molecular weight of 3367.95 g/mol, it binds to GHRH receptors on pituitary somatotroph cells to initiate a sustained, pulsatile release of growth hormone (GH), elevating GH levels 2-10 times and IGF-1 levels 1.5- to 3-fold for up to two weeks. This physiological regulation has research implications for growth hormone deficiency, favorably altering body composition by promoting lean muscle mass, and for female infertility by promoting ovulation and cardioprotection by supporting cardiac tissue repair post-injury.
