MGF

MGF (Mechano Growth Factor) is an IGF-1 isoform (IGF-1Ec) produced by alternative splicing during mechanical stress or muscle injury. It contains a unique 49-base pair insert at exon 5, giving it distinct properties from systemic IGF-1. The synthetic MGF-Ct24E peptide (24 amino acids) promotes muscle precursor cell proliferation. Research indicates applications in muscle regeneration, neuroprotection, cardioprotection, and bone healing.
